For students interested in applying to one of the service academies, our office may be able to provide nominations to those who qualify. These academies include:
All candidates applying for a nomination must be citizens of the U.S. and legal residents of the Second Congressional District in Mississippi. They must be at least 17 years of age and not past their 22nd birthday on July 1 of the year of admission to the academy.
Please send requests for application for nominations to my Mound Bayou office. Applicants should contact the office in writing anytime after April 1 in their junior year of high school and files must be completed (all information submitted) by December 1st. Nominations are made prior to January 31st.
