THE DISASTER PROCESS AND DISASTER AID PROGRAMS

Recently, Central Mississippi was struck by an intense line of severe weather that included several tornadoes.  And currently, the Mississippi Delta Counties alongside the Mississippi River are well past flood stage along the entire length of the western border of the Second Congressional District.

Many of you have contacted my office looking for direction during these troubling times.  For more information on disaster recovery and assistance, please choose from the links below and also visit the Weather Safety section of my website for additional helpful information:

Rest assured, I have and will continue to support the disaster declarations submitted to the President, so that Central Mississippi and the Mississippi Delta counties may receive federal assistance in recovering from the extensive damage as a result of the inclement weather.
