Congressman Thompson has been a vocal supporter for forestry conservation and compliance with EPA and DEQ standards.  With a National Forest located in his District, Thompson has sought to ensure the preservation of the nation’s only bottomland hardwood forest.  As a testament to his views, Thompson has pledged to seek millions in funding for upgrading camping and recreation equipment at Delta National Forest.  These efforts will serve to boost the ecotourism industry in the District and State.
