BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI. – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the following schedule:
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2008
10:00 A.M. – Congressman Thompson will participate in the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new United States Courthouse in Jackson, Mississippi. The ceremony will be held at 505 South President Street, in downtown Jackson.
This new construction will provide a 391,877 gross square foot courthouse, which will include 12 courtrooms, 15 judges’ chambers and 3 court of appeals’ chambers.
The construction schedule is 3 years with a projected substantial completion date of August 2010.
