Jackson, MS – Today, Congressman Bennie Thompson is pleased to announce the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded the following Airport Improvement Program grants:
GRANTEE | AMOUNT | GRANT | PROJECT | City of Grenada | $395,370 | FY24 AIP | Grenada Municipal / GNF / 3-28-0029-022-2024 This project constructs a new fuel facility at a non-primary airport by adding a single self-service pump and concrete apron to assist the airport to be as self-sustaining as possible by generating revenue. | City of Greenville | $479,039 | FY24 AIP | Greenville Mid-Delta / GLH / 3-28-0027-047-2024 This project updates the existing airport master plan study. | Clarksdale-Coahoma County Airport Board | $357,600 | FY 24 AIP | Fletcher Field / CKM / 3-28-0014-034-2024 This grant is associated with an Airport Improvement Program grant that funds the remaining eligible portion of the project. This project rehabilitates 5,404 feet of the existing Runway 18/36 to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement and to minimize foreign object debris. | City of Cleveland | $294,000 | FY 24 AIP | Cleveland Municipal / RNV / 3-28-0015-029-2024 This grant funds the second phase, which consists of approximately 3,067 square feet of the hangar building. This project constructs a new 12,000 square foot sponsor-owned hangar for aircraft storage/maintenance to assist the airport to be as self-sustaining as possible by generating revenue. |
