National Park Service Meetings throughout MS 2nd Congressional District

The National Park Service (NPS) held public meetings to support the preservation of African American civil rights sites and the legacy of civil rights leaders. 

May 7, 2018 meeting at the Tallahatchie County Courthouse in Sumner to discuss civil rights sites in the district for National Park designation.

Meeting at the Civil Rights Museum in Jackson to get public input and feedback about civil rights sites in the district that should be considered for National Park designation

Meeting at the Medgar Ever Library in Jackson to discuss civil rights sites in the district for National Park designation.

Meeting at the COFO building in Jackson (Council of Federated Organizations) to discuss civil rights sites in the district for National Park designation.
