FY2026 Community Funding Projects Submissions

The United States House Committee on Appropriations received funding recommendations for the projects listed below. Currently, no projects have received funding approval. All projects are subject to change before the final approval. Congress must pass the FY2026 Appropriations Bill before any projects or funding requests can be approved.

Project Name: New City of Grenada City Hall/Municipal Building Project

Description:
This project will construct a community saferoom in District 2 of Holmes County to protect residents during tornadoes and other severe weather events. The saferoom will hold up to 250 people. This is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds because it will save lives and improve emergency preparedness in a high-risk rural area.
