    • In the Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Fiscal Year 2011 Appropriations Bill, Leflore County, 306 West Market Street, Greenwood, MS, requests $2,090,000 in EPA – STAG Water and Wastewater Infrastructure funding, for wastewater system capacity improvements of the Browning Drainage District to support and sustains flood protection and drainage.  This project in part is mandated by a Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality regulatory order.  This project will include construction activities that involve small sewers that convey storm water directly to streams and lagoons without treatment.

    City of Mound Bayou, drinking water improvements, Mound Bayou, Mississippi

    • In the Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Fiscal Year 2011 Appropriations Bill, the City of Mound Bayou, 106 Green Avenue, Mound Bayou, requests $250,000 in EPA – STAG Water and Wastewater Infrastructure funding, for conducting major renovations of the water/sewer infrastructure.

    Madison County/West Madison Utility District, drinking water improvements, Canton, Mississippi

 

  • In the Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Fiscal Year 2011 Appropriations Bill, the West Madison Utility District, P.O. Box 608, Canton, MS, requests $550,000 in EPA – STAG Water and Wastewater Infrastructure funding, for a regional lift station designed to pump approximately 3.85 million gallons of wastewater per day. 
  • Tougaloo College, John Boddie House, Tougaloo, Mississippi

    • In the Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Fiscal Year 2011 Appropriations Bill, Tougaloo College, 500 West County Line Road, Jackson, MS, requests $500,000 in National Park Service – Save Americas Treasure funding, to rehabilitate and restore interior of the John Williams Boddie House.  The newly restored Boddie House will serve as a meeting and exhibit room for the colleges’ historic and cultural assets.
