- JATRAN Fleet Replacement includes bus replacement and bus safety enhancement. This project is part of Jackson's ongoing program for replacement of its aging fleet of JATRAN fixed route buses. Funding in the amount of $1.8 million will allow JATRAN to continue to upgrade its rolling stock and purchase new or modified buses and vehicles to replace its oldest ones that have exceeded their "useful lives" as defined by FTA. Part of the same funding would also be used for bus security enhancement.
