Congressman Bennie G. Thompson Announces $137,000 FAA Grant for Winona-Montgomery County Airport

BOLTON, MS — Congressman Bennie Thompson announced that the Unites States Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a $137,000 Fiscal Year 2026 Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) to the City of Winona and Montgomery County for improvements at the Winona-Montgomery County Airport.

The funding will support the construction of a new 5,000-square-foot non-exclusive use hangar for aircraft storage and maintenance. The project is designed to help the airport become more self-sustaining through increased revenue generation and improved operational capacity.
