CONGRESSMAN BENNIE G. THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $325,000 AWARDED TO the City of Water Valley
BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the Appalachian Regional Commission has awarded $325,000 to the City of Water Valley for the Water Valley Industrial Park Access Road Connecter project.
ARC funding will be used to construct a 0.38-mile access road connector between the roadway entrance from HWY 7 and the existing artery road that runs through the middle of the Water Valley Industrial Park. Additional work includes clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage, culverts, base materials, asphalt pavement, and signing and striping.
In addition to ARC funds, other federal sources will provide $425,000, state sources will provide $100,000, and local sources will provide $148,520, bringing the total project funding to $998,520.
