CONGRESSMAN BENNIE G. THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $ 449,235 AWARDED TO TUNICA COUNTY

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The U. S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $449,235 through the FY24 AIG Grant Program to theCounty of Tunica & Tunica County Airport Commission. These project funds will be used to reconstruct 675 feet of the existing perimeter fencing to deter access by unauthorized persons and vehicles onto the airfield. This project will allow the installation of a replacement airport rotating beacon necessary for visual approaches to the airfield at night.
