BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The U. S. Department Agriculture has awarded $7,279,967 in USDA grant/loan funds to the following:

BDT Housing Services Enterprise | $2,250,000 | Community Facilities Grants | This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase materials to rehabilitate the Isaiah Thornton (I.T.) Montgomery House in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. The home needs major repairs and restoration, and this project will help to preserve the historic I.T. Montgomery House. |
Grenada County Board of Supervisors | $29,967 | Rural Business Development Grants | This Rural Development investment will be used to purchase and install restaurant equipment. These items will be leased to a small emerging restaurant business, Crystals, LLC., in Grenada County, Mississippi. With the help of this new equipment, a 13-year-old business can resume servicing its customers and surrounding area. |
Rosedale QALICB Manager, LLC | $5,000,000 | Business and Industry Loan Guarantees | This Rural Development investment will be used to guarantee a loan to Magnolia Bank to relend to Rosedale QALICB Manager, LLC. to assist in renovating four real estate properties in the City of Rosedale in Bolivar County, Mississippi to operate as a distillery, restaurant, event center, and retail space under Rosedale Distillery Company management. |
