CONGRESSMAN BENNIE G. THOMPSON ANNOUNCES OVER $1 MILLION AWARDED TO JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced National Science Foundation has awarded $1,075,000 to Jackson State University. The project is titled "2023 LSAMP Bridge to the Doctorate: Mississippi LSAMP - Host Site: Jackson State University". The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program assists universities and colleges in their efforts to significantly increase the numbers of students matriculating into and successfully completing high quality degree programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines in order to diversify the STEM workforce.
