CONGRESSMAN BENNIE G. THOMPSON To Bring Greetings During Emmett Till Wreath-Laying Ceremony

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced he will bring greetings during Emmett Till Wreath-Laying Ceremony on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Graball Landing located near Glendora, Mississippi.  The event is hosted by the U. S. Department of Interior in commemoration of the lynching of Emmett Till on August 28, 1955, for allegedly making inappropriate advances toward a white woman while visiting relatives in Mississippi.
