Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces $ 2,129,752 Awarded to Coahoma County Board of Supervisors
Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $2,129,752 in funds through the Economic Adjustment Assistance Program to the Coahoma County Board of Supervisors. This EDA investment supports the Coahoma County Board of Supervisors with making roadway and water infrastructure improvements in Coahoma County, Mississippi. The project will support the local boat manufacturing sector, creating jobs and opportunities in the region. Once completed, the project will drive economic growth and strengthen the regional economy. “This grant highlights the power of collaborative partnerships and shows our joint commitment to improving infrastructure and creating jobs in Clarksdale and the broader Mississippi Delta region.
