Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces DOJ Grant to Support Mississippi Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

BOLTON, MS – Today, Congressman Bennie Thompson announced a $416,214 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office to continue leading the Mississippi Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The funding, awarded through the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs and Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, will support efforts to prevent, investigate, and prosecute online child exploitation crimes across Mississippi. The Attorney General’s Office has led the ICAC Task Force since 2007 in partnership with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. |
