Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces Over $2 Million in Grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center Inc. and Delta Health Alliance, Inc.

Bolton, MS – Today, Congressman Bennie Thompson is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded significant grants to Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center Inc. and Delta Health Alliance, Inc. under the Delta State Rural Development Network Grant Program (DELTA). These grants, totaling more than $2 million, are aimed at improving health services and outcomes in rural communities.

Jefferson Comprehensive Health Center Inc. has been awarded $1,071,440 to support its initiatives and Delta Health Alliance, Inc. will receive $1,018,872 as part of the DELTA program.

The DELTA program aims to:

  • Strengthen healthcare networks and partnerships in rural communities.
  • Enhance access to comprehensive healthcare services.
  • Promote preventive health measures and wellness programs.
  • Address social determinants of health that contribute to health disparities.
