Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces over $34 Million for Bridge Replacements in North Mississippi

BOLTON, MS — Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) announced a $34,674,688 federal grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration to the Mississippi Department of Transportation to support critical bridge infrastructure improvements in Tallahatchie County.

The grant will allow the Mississippi Department of Transportation to support the North Mississippi Bridge Replacement Bundle project by replacing three state-owned bridges along MS 32 in Tallahatchie County, improving safety, reliability, and connectivity for local communities.
