Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces U. S. Department of Transportation Awards $1 Million to the City of Jackson

Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $1 million in grant funds through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Route Planning Restoration Program to the City of Jackson, Mississippi.  The Route Planning Restoration Program provides funds under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 for public transportation planning associated with the restoration of transit service reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
