Congressman Thompson Announced $400,000 awarded to South Delta Planning and Development District, Inc.
BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the U. S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration has awarded $400,000 to the South Delta Planning and Development District, Inc. through the COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Project.
EDA is providing a supplemental financial assistance award to the South Delta Planning and Development District, Inc., of Greenville, Mississippi, to help them respond to the unusual and compelling urgency of the coronavirus pandemic. South Delta Planning and Development District, Inc. covers Bolivar, Humphreys, Issaquena, Sharkey, Sunflower and Washington Counties.
