Congressman Thompson Announced $976,579 in U. S. Department of Justice Funds

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the U. S. Department of Justice has awarded $976,579 in Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) FY 21 Preventing School Violence: BJA's STOP School Violence Program funds to Community Students Learning Center (CSLC) located in Lexington, Mississippi.

Community Students Learning Center will use funds to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors to prevent school violence with training for local law enforcement officers, school staff, students, family, service providers, partners, and youth-serving professionals in Holmes County.
