Congressman Thompson Announced over $6 Million in FEMA funds to Sharkey County

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The U. S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded $6,143,048.80 in federal funding to Sharkey County for debris removal operations because of FEMA-DR-4697-MS (Severe Storms, Straight Line Winds and Tornadoes). This funding is authorized under Section

407 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.
