Congressman Thompson Announced U. S. Department of State Grant to Mississippi Valley State University

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced The U. S. Department of State has awarded Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) a grant from the Increase and Diversity Education Abroad for U. S. Students (IDEAS) Program to bolster American study abroad programs on its campus.

Mississippi Valley State University will use funds to build study abroad awareness among students and their parents through a year-round marketing campaign and the development of pre-study abroad programming. The university will also provide training and resources to help faculty develop new study abroad programs and internationalize their curricula.
