Congressman Thompson Announces $731,782 U.S. Department of Transportation Grant to Panola County

BOLTON, MS – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a grant of $731,782 to Panola County through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP).

The funding will support improvements at the Panola County Airport (PMU) in Batesville, MS. Specifically, the project will reconstruct existing Taxiway “A” lighting that has reached the end of its useful life.
