CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES $750,000 AWARDED TO THE SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

BOLTON, MISSISSIPPI – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) approved an Affordable Housing Program (AHP) subsidy in the amount of $750,000 to Central Mississippi Housing and Development Corp.

Central Mississippi Housing and Development Corp. received $750,000 from The First, A National Banking Association and FHLB Dallas to help rehabilitate the 64-unit Canton Manor, which serves people with intellectual and development disabilities by providing living quarters in Canton, Mississippi. Privately funded AHP subsidies are awarded by FHLB Dallas in conjunction with its member financial institutions to benefit very low- to moderate-income households.
