CONGRESSMAN THOMPSON ANNOUNCES WINNER OF MISSISSIPPI’S 2^ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 2024 ART COMPETITION

Bolton, MS – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced winners of the 2024 Second Congressional “Artistic Discovery” Art Competition. This year’s 1st Place winner is Cassidy Hodges from Terry High School. I would like to extend my congratulations to Cassidy Hodges and Terry High School for placing first in this year’s competition.

The other winners are as follow:

• 2^nd Place – Justin Allbritton of Grenada High School
• 3^rd Place – Kevin Nichols, Jr. of Canton High School
• Honorable Mention – Madison Mallet of Grenada High School
• Honorable Mention – Soniyah Gibbs of Yazoo City High School
• Honorable Mention – Destiny White of Yazoo City High School
• Honorable Mention – Akiay Bass of Yazoo City High School
• Honorable Mention – Kalyse Jefferson of Grenada High School

The 1^st Place winner along with one other person will receive round trip accommodations to Washington, D C in June to compete with the other Congressional District winners.
