Rep. Bennie G. Thompson Votes to Keep the Government Working for the American People

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) voted to pass a package of six funding bills that will help Americans cope with inflation, support hard-working families, protect women's rights, reinforce America's global leadership, and ensure the safety and security of our communities.

“As House Democrats continue to prioritize people over politics, I am proud to have voted for a bipartisan government funding package that invests in critical government programs and services supporting the people of Mississippi's 2nd Congressional District. I am pleased to see both Democrats and Republicans agreeing that keeping the government open is a wise decision,” said Rep. Thompson.

This government funding package includes the following bills:

- Defense

- Financial Services and General Government

- Homeland Security

- Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies

- Legislative Branch

- State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs
