Congressman Thompson Announces Coronavirus Response Grants for 2^nd District Airports

WASHINGTON—U.S. Rep. Thompson Congressman Thompson (MS-02), today announced the award of $9,141,630 in grants to 21 Second Congressional District airfields experiencing severe economic disruption because of the COVID-19 public health emergency. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awards, made available directly from the U.S. Treasury were funded in the recently enacted Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
