Congressman Thompson Invites the Mississippi Masterpiece Choir to Perform at the Annual CBCF Gospel Extravaganza

BOLTON, MS – Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (MS-02) announced his invitation to the Mississippi Masterpiece Choir to represent Mississippi’s Second Congressional District at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference Gospel Extravaganza on Thursday, September 21st at 8:00 p.m. at the United House of Prayer for All People in Washington, D.C.

“It is my pleasure to invite the Mississippi Masterpiece Choir,” Thompson said. “Every year, I am excited to showcase the talent of Mississippi’s Second Congressional District to all guests of the Gospel Extravaganza. The Mississippi Masterpiece Choir is a Mississippi gem, and it is my honor to host them this year.”

“Let the Lord lead you,” was the message gospel composer and recording artist Ms. Indiana Norfleet received when she created the Mississippi Masterpiece ensemble group in Indianola, MS in January 2023. The group is only nine months old, but the singers are veterans on the gospel scene around the Mississippi Delta. The ensemble is comprised of three Sopranos, three Tenors, and four Altos.
