(Washington D.C.) –Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson announces Mississippi's open application period for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022.

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded the State of Mississippi $8,406,000 in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds to help communities recover from disasters.

This funding, included in the appropriations government funding package, responds directly to some of the most pressing needs in the Mississippi Delta.
