(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) welcomes a new intern to his Washington, D.C. office. Caleb Bearman is a native of Madison, Mississippi. He is the son of Chuck and Mary Ann Bearman. Caleb is a junior at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, majoring in Political Science. He is a Dean’s List Scholar, a Helen Young Scholar, and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Caleb was the International Disaster Response and Recovery Team Intern for the Salvation Army World Service Office in the Fall of 2022.

Carter, Sr., Dina Titus, and Brian Higgins announced the creation of the Congressional Disaster Equity and Building Resilience Caucus to promote the benefits of resilience and the need for equity in the country’s disaster preparedness and response infrastructure.

This project, entitled "Excellence in Research: Spontaneous Nucleation Strategy for High-Quality Perovskite Films" is under the direction of Dai Qilin.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) welcomes a new staffer to his Washington, D.C. office. Deidre Alexander is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, with a wealth of experience in education, nonprofit, and public policy. She was previously the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at CityWorks DC, where she managed projects and provided strategic planning support to help build a citywide talent pipeline infrastructure. Deidre served as the Founding Director of the Mississippi Collective, which is a public education advocacy nonprofit.
