(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is allocating funds from the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to eligible states. Mississippi is receiving $1.2 billion in BEAD funding. This funding will be used to deploy or develop broadband networks so everyone can access dependable, inexpensive, and high-speed online services.
