(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) welcomes a new staffer to his Washington, D.C. office. Deidre Alexander is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, with a wealth of experience in education, nonprofit, and public policy. She was previously the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at CityWorks DC, where she managed projects and provided strategic planning support to help build a citywide talent pipeline infrastructure. Deidre served as the Founding Director of the Mississippi Collective, which is a public education advocacy nonprofit.
