The Task Force will draw upon the expertise of the people they serve in order to write a unified set of priorities for the House Democratic Caucus in preparation for the 2023 Farm Bill. Additionally, their understanding of the needs and wishes of the people they serve will be taken into consideration in the process.

Thompson will host open house for his Natchez District Office on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The office is located at 208 Lynda Lee Drive, Natchez, MS. The open house will give local constituents an opportunity to visit the office and meet the staff.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is allocating funds from the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program to eligible states. Mississippi is receiving $1.2 billion in BEAD funding. This funding will be used to deploy or develop broadband networks so everyone can access dependable, inexpensive, and high-speed online services.
