Bolton, MS — Congressman Thompson is pleased to announce that the City of Jackson (JTRAN) has been awarded a grant of $13,717,447 through the U. S. Department of Transportation FY24 Bus & Bus Facilities Grant Program. This significant funding will support the Low-Emission Bus Fleet Modernization Project, which aims to replace, expand, and modernize JTRAN's existing fleet with hybrid and propane-powered buses.
