Department of Justice has awarded $242,496 in grant funds through the Office of Justice Program to Mississippi Department of Human Services. These funds will be used to promote the safety and security of the youth and staff at Oakley Youth Development Center.

(Washington D.C.) – Congressman Bennie Thompson announces the City of Jackson, Mississippi will receive $20,000,000 from the United States Department of Transportation Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability & Equity (RAISE) Grant Program to help rebuild Medgar Evers Boulevard.
"These dollars can assist the City of Jackson in addressing their infrastructure needs. I look towards acquiring additional funds through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act."
